Create and manage product catalogs that you can use with your online store and smart terminal. Once created, add the products that you sell. You can create and assign product catalogs from your web browser or directly on the smart terminal itself.
Note: If you don’t see the option to create a new catalog in your browser or smart terminal, you don’t need to create or assign a product catalog. Skip this step and go straight to adding products to your catalog.
On the web browser
Create a product catalog, add products, and assign the catalog to your device(s) – all in one place. One default catalog is automatically created for you. (You can rename it if you’d like.)
- Log in to the portal and select In Person.
- Select Catalogs.
- Select Create New Catalog.
- Add a new or existing catalog:
- To create a new catalog: Select Create New and enter a Name for the catalog. Select Save.
- To use an existing catalog: Choose Select existing and check the box next to the catalog(s) to add. Select Add.
- Select Add category to create categories where you can bundle similar types of products together, for quick access in your catalog.
- Select Add products to import, upload or manually enter products for your product catalog.
- Set up any Fees, Discounts or Taxes to be applied at the catalog level. For each one you create, add a Code (name), choose between a Percent (%) or Fixed Amount, and decide whether to apply it to the pre-tax amount. Select Done.
- Select the catalog that you want to assign to a terminal, then select Assign to Terminal.
- Switch the Attach toggle on next to the device where you want to assign the catalog. This connects the product catalog to your device. Close the popup window.
- On your smart terminal home page, tap Catalog to see the linked product catalog and all associated products.
On the smart terminal
Create and manage your catalog and products right from the interface on your smart terminal.
Note: Your catalog name appears in the upper-left corner of the Catalog app. If you’ve added multiple catalogs, you can switch between them on the Smart Terminal by tapping Catalog > Switch > the catalog name > Assign.
- From your smart terminal home page, tap Catalog.
- Tap Switch in the upper-right corner, then tap Create Catalog.
- Add a new or existing catalog:
- To create a new catalog: Select Create New and enter a Name for the catalog. Select Save.
- To use an existing catalog: Choose Select existing and check the box next to the catalog(s) to add. Select Add.
- Tap Create category to create categories where you can bundle similar types of products together, for quick access in your catalog.
- Tap an empty Product tile to manually add products to your catalog on the smart terminal.
- Set up any Fees, Discounts or Taxes to be applied at the catalog level. For each one you create, add a Code (name), choose between a Percent (%) or Fixed Amount, and decide whether to apply it to the pre-tax amount. Tap Done.
